"A completely charming story! My first graders identified with the main character, were delighted by the naughty younger sister, and enjoyed every aspect of this delightful family's story. When we got to the part where Alice names her birthday pet....they cheered. Wonderful!"

" I'm the wrong age group. And I can't help but be bored with this one. Not much of a story, not much of a character to like, and not much of a book. But I bet some 8 year olds would absolutely love it. "

" This book is like a nice book to read for fun, i wouldn't recommend it to anyone who isn't that emotional but i would say it is surely a nice book, but i think the climax could have been more serious. "
