She won't rest until she's sent every walking corpse back to its grave. Forever.

Had anyone told Alice Bell that her entire life would change course between one heartbeat and the next, she would have laughed. From blissful to tragic, innocent to ruined? Please. But that's all it took. One heartbeat. A blink, a breath, a second, and everything she knew and loved was gone.

Her father was right. The monsters are real.

To avenge her family, Ali must learn to fight the undead. To survive, she must learn to trust the baddest of the bad boys, Cole Holland. But Cole has secrets of his own, and if Ali isn't careful, those secrets might just prove to be more dangerous than the zombies.

" I loved this book for a YA it still totally rocked. I might mention I loved the title of the book, so those who made a big deal about it.. Maybe you didn't read the book or maybe it isn't your cup of tea.. I personally don't care as long as I liked it so for "those who did not" go kick rocks :p "

" This was a good starter book for the series. I'm not sure if that was what Gena Showalter was going for but that's what it felt like to me. Just an introduction to Alice's world, sort of preparing us for (hopefully) bigger things to come. I really liked Alice, she wasn't annoying like some teenage heroine's can be, but instead was really determined to fight the Zombies and keep people safe. I liked Cole too, he is a very rough but loveable hero (My favourite kind!) And I thought that the Zombies were interesting, not your run of the mill brain eaters. I basically love everything Gena Showalter writes and I'll be interested in reading the next book to see where this series is going. "

" I was unsure of this book I love all zombie books and was afraid this would be corny...but it was really good in fact it was damn good. Not what I expected at all and that is good because I did expect it to be bad... "
