Publisher Description

As an emergency paramedic, Lauren Boyer is dedicated and highly capable. Until an earthquake strikes, trapping her beneath the freeway with a group of strangers - including Iraq war veteran Garrett Wright.

Handsome and take-charge Garrett aids Lauren in her rescue efforts, even as the steely look in his eyes seems to hide dark secrets. When a gang of escaped convicts goes on the attack, Garrett's bravery makes him more than a courageous bystander to Lauren. If they can save the others before time runs out, maybe, just maybe, they can explore the fire igniting between them - if the truth about who he really is doesn't pull them apart forever .

"I really liked this author. I had no problem adapting to her writing style...didn't even think about it, actually. Character development, plot lines, action scenes, descriptive elements, and the romance aspect were all well done. I am not one for having to wait for the HEA after the action wrap but the ending was more believable the way it was done. Great read!"

" 4.5 read. What a surprise. I had no clue this was going to be a little bit Lost, a little bit Lord of the Flies with Survivor thrown in-all taking place under an earthquake damaged overpass in San Diego. "

" The premise for the story was fascinating. Particularly with the viewpoint of those involved in the earthquake. The characters were realistic in their menacing behavior. It was nicely written but initially it seemed a bit wordy. Yet, I think [in part] that was due to the setting and the catastrophic event-- the Earthquake. "

" I found myself reading paragraph after paragraph then rephrasing it to myself so that it followed the maxim, "show, don't tell." it wasn't that hard to do. The story idea was unique but the execution was painful. "
