Publisher Description

Achieving work-life balance seems to be a goal that eludes most people today, though many crave it. In this ultra-hectic world, with so much competing for your time and attention, how do you create a sense of control at work, home, and every place in between? In this illuminating session, professional speaker and author Jeff Davidson, who has written such books at Simpler Living, Breathing Space, and The 60 Second Self-Starter, lays out a plan for achieving work-life balance based on lessons in nine categories. The categories include breathing lessons, digestion lessons, nutrition lessons, pacing lessons, pausing lessons, leisure lessons, quiet lessons, sleeping lessons, and reflection lessons.

In each of these categories, Jeff discusses the prevailing behavior in which most people engage, followed by the desired behavior that would lead to a great sense of breathing space. The result is an invigorating session, unlike anything you've heard, which will enables you to put your hands on the tools and levers that add up to a greater experience of work-life balance, more often throughout the day, every day.

" This book had a different title in its previous incarnation: the one-minute manager gets fit. That is a much better title and says what the book is really about, so I was quite disappointed with it. Having said that, the book is a good read and has some useful advice. "

" It wasn't a life-changing book at all, just a book about a manager who gets motivated to work his body, his family helps him, with daily little steps, in the end he achieves a good physical condition. "
