Escaping from a madman should have been the end of her nightmare. Instead it was only the beginning....

Lizzy Gardner was just 17 when she was kidnapped by the psychopath known as Spiderman, a serial killer terrorizing her California hometown. Imprisoned and tormented for months, Lizzy narrowly escaped with her life and Spiderman vanished without a trace. But if she thought he would forget her, she was dead wrong.

Fourteen years later, Lizzy is a successful private investigator and self-defense instructor. Wracked with guilt over being the only victim to survive, she's devoted her life to helping others protect themselves from the horrors she endured. But a single phone call brings the terror of the past crashing back. Spiderman has returned and this time, he has no intention of letting Lizzy go. So begins a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, a terrifying, heart-pounding hunt for vengeance that only one will survive.

" This is not the type of book I normally read, but I really enjoyed it. I think it was free on Amazon one day when I ran across it. It has been on my TBR on my Kindle for a while. It was supensefull, and fast paced. The only reason I docked 1 star is because of a personal annoyance of mine. When the characters dont share valuable information with other characters, which meant they could have solved the mystery forever ago if they had just told the person, but oh gosh they forgot something so important, that could have solved the case. Maybe thats just me, I dunno. A good read anyway. "

" So-so book. Pretty predictable. Don't think I'll read any more by this author. Sorry, just didn't do it for me. "

" This book was definitely on the creepy side, it was a deep and engaging read. The mystery was complex enough to not figure out too easily before hand although clues were strewn about throughout. Overall I would would recommend this book. "

" I really liked this book. Creepy and keeps you guessing. Story of Lizzy who escaped a serial killer and now 14 years later he is back and he wants the one who got away "

  • 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5 Lacee | 2/8/2014

" I liked it quite a bit. Ragan connected the reader to all of the characters pretty quickly, and most of the character voices were convincing. The only thing I had a hard time accepting was the characterization of the killer, the "how he got this way" story. I guess I've studied enough to think it wasn't severe enough to create a serial killer. "
