Publisher Description

Lizzy Gardner is a one-million copy bestselling series.

When Lizzy Gardner was only seventeen, what should have been the perfect night became the perfect nightmare. Kidnapped just blocks from home after a romantic evening with her boyfriend, Jared, she woke up to find herself at the mercy of a depraved serial killer. Imprisoned and tormented for months by the maniac she came to know as Spiderman, Lizzy narrowly escaped, the only one of his victims to survive. But Spiderman escaped too, outwitting police and cursing Lizzy to spend her life looking over her shoulder…

Fourteen years later, Lizzy is a private investigator who teaches self-defense to teenage girls in her free time. She does what she can to help others protect themselves and to forget the horror of her ordeal, yet fears she will always be known as “the one who got away.” Then she receives a phone call from Jared, now a special agent for the FBI, with grim news. The killer has resurfaced, this time with a very specific target—Lizzy. And he’s made it clear that she will not escape him again. So begins a chilling game of cat-and-mouse, a terrifying, heart-pounding hunt that only one will survive.

"This is not the type of book I normally read, but I really enjoyed it. I think it was free on Amazon one day when I ran across it. It has been on my TBR on my Kindle for a while. It was supensefull, and fast paced. The only reason I docked 1 star is because of a personal annoyance of mine. When the characters dont share valuable information with other characters, which meant they could have solved the mystery forever ago if they had just told the person, but oh gosh they forgot something so important, that could have solved the case. Maybe thats just me, I dunno. A good read anyway."

" So-so book. Pretty predictable. Don't think I'll read any more by this author. Sorry, just didn't do it for me. "

" This book was definitely on the creepy side, it was a deep and engaging read. The mystery was complex enough to not figure out too easily before hand although clues were strewn about throughout. Overall I would would recommend this book. "

" I liked it quite a bit. Ragan connected the reader to all of the characters pretty quickly, and most of the character voices were convincing. The only thing I had a hard time accepting was the characterization of the killer, the "how he got this way" story. I guess I've studied enough to think it wasn't severe enough to create a serial killer. "
