Publisher Description

New York Times bestselling author Lisa Kleypas’s sparking tale of love, romance, and Christmas magic, set in Victorian London, in which the irresistible Wallflowers help steer the course of true love for a notorious wealthy American and his reluctant British bride.

The search for true love brought the Wallflowers together. Now happily married, these four delightful society women reunite once again to help a notorious rogue find happiness under the Christmas mistletoe. . . .

Rafe Bowman has arrived in London to meet the aristocratic young woman he hopes to marry—Natalie Blandford, the very proper and beautiful daughter of Lord and Lady Blandford. But the dashing American’s shocking reputation has preceded him. Before he can claim Natalie’s heart, Rafe must learn to navigate the conventions of London society to win her hand.

Even with the best teachers— four former Wallflowers experienced in the art of matchmaking—the wildly rich and very impatient Rafe discovers that wooing a bride is far more complicated than he expected. But Christmas is a time of magic—when a rake can become a romantic . . . and ignite passion in even the most strait-laced young lady’s heart.

"Love..love...love A Wallflower Christmas. The story was quick paced and the dialogue was witty and funny (as is always the case with Kleypas). The sparks that flew between Hannah and Rafe from the beginning kept me from putting this book down. Rafe has become one of my favorites, especially after his love letter. After reading the slight glimpses of the other Wallflower couples, I HAVE to go back and read the Wallflowers that I haven't read yet. Only complaint that I could have is that I wish the story was a little longer (such a quick read) and the resolution with his father delved in to more. The epilogue summed everything up too neatly and quickly that I was left a little wanting."

" I actually read this book first in the wallflowers series and it prompted me to read the rest. I absolutely love all of the characters in this series, and this is a very sweet story about the Bowman sisters' brother Rafe. He was an excellent hero and my only complaint is that I wish this story was longer! 4.5 stars and would definitely recommend. "

" Aw, it was nice to catch up with the wallflowers and meet a new rude American! It suffered a bit from a slightly rushed ending and a Harry Potter-ish epilogue, but overall I was just charmed by this story. "

" I read this book before the other four, and it was great. This book made we want to know more about the original wallflowers, so I am now going back and reading the four previous books which have been great so far. "

" I think what disappointed me the most about this book has nothing to do with the actual story, but that its more of a novella of only 214 pages yet cost the same as the rest of the Hathaway series that I had purchased which are nearly double the length. Still it was a really enjoyable story and a must read if you like the Hathaway series. "

" I loved reading about the wallflowers again! But Hannah and Rafe is not exactly the sort of character I enjoy reading about. It just felt that I was reading something very common. There was nothing unusual about the characters. "

" A lovely Christmas time romance...very enjoyable, even though I could tell exactly where the story was going...but that's the wonderful thing about a well-written romance, even though you KNOW who will end up together, you relish the journey to the HEA... "
