" I enjoyed this first book in the "Sisters of Holmes County" series. The difference with this novel is that this series is based in Holmes County, Ohio instead of Lancaster, PA. You will get caught up in the characters and want to read Book #2. If you love reading Beverly Lewis, you should give Wanda E. Brunstetter's books a try. "

" Get A Sister's Test so that you can read both books back to back! It's hard to wait if you can't find the book when you want to finish the story! "

" Loved series! Read it in two weeks! So much was packed into these three books I just couldn't put them down! There was forgiveness, romance, suspense, mystery, and hope all in three books! "

" I love reading about the Amish. Maybe its because they remind me of the pioneers and I love the pioneers. I could relate to this families issues, one thing after another. "

" This book should be listed under YA for it's content and it's reading level. I don't mean that as a slam but the reading level was about 6th grade, as far as I can tell. I would have liked it more if the author had pushed a little harder. What kept me going (once again!) was her insertion of German-Dutch vocabulary throughout the text. I am just that nerdy gals! I will hang onto to a so-so text in order to scoop up more linguistic morsels! "

" This isn't based on a true story or anything, but it really shows you how the Amish people think. They are for the most part true Christians who set a great example of complete trust in God and total forgiveness. "
