Publisher Description

I was told to beware the accursed spindle, but it was so enchanting, so hypnotic . . . I was looking for a little adventure the day I ditched my tour group. But finding a comatose town, with a hot-looking chick asleep in it, was so not what I had in mind. I awakened in the same place but in another time – to a stranger’s soft kiss. I couldn’t help kissing her. Sometimes you just have to kiss someone. I didn’t know this would happen. Now I am in dire trouble because my father, the king, says I have brought ruin upon our country. I have no choice but to run away with this commoner! Now I’m stuck with a bratty princess and a trunk full of her jewels . . . The good news: My parents will freak! Think you have dating issues? Try locking lips with a snoozing stunner who turns out to be 316 years old. Can a kiss transcend all — even time?

"This book is one of my favourites now! The fantasy and the reality mixed together was really good! Alex Flinn did an amazing job taking a classic fairy tale and added a mordern day twist. Princess Talia being polite and proper, and Jack an everyday teenage boy. An odd match but they are perfect for each other <3"

" When I read the inside cover of this book, I knew I had to read the whole thing. I wasn't dissapointed. The story was great. Very sweet read. The characters were great. I found myself laughing out loud at the cell phone incident. However, I thought that the party scene was a bit too much. (although I love what Talia says in response to Jack giving her a bathing suit) There were a few curse words here and there as well as taking the Lord's name in vain, which I'm not cool with, but other than that, a good read. " Modern fairytale with a twist and a lesson to be learned. This was the first book I've read that heralded my bookish activity till now and for the rest of time. "

" This book is an updated version of the Sleeping Beauty tale and just plain fun! I was laughing so much in some of the places that I woke up my husband! Talia and Jack are made for one another and I especially like the way the book ended. "

" Well, it was a good read, but it's definitely meant for teenagers. Since I have passed that stage, I found it a little boring. The ending was predictable, and a little ridiculous besides. Anyone over the age of 18 will not enjoy it, since they've passed the exaggeration and dramatization of high school years. "

" I did like it... Although it was a little predictable. And random - Why would you kiss a random passed-out chick? It had a strange feel to it... I can't put my finger on it, but some parts were kinda cringey and odd. "
