The discovery of two teenage girls' bodies and a video of a snuff movie showing the death of one of the victims leaves Detective Inspector Jack Frost in a race against time before the killer can strike again.
Meanwhile, someone is poisoning foodstuffs at a local supermarket chain. When the owner receives threatening demands to pay up or be put out of business, it is up to Frost to catch the blackmailer. " I actually listened to the book on CD in my car traveling back and forth to worked. I found that I did end up liking the main character, even though I didn't want to. He just seemed to grow on me. "
