"I thought that A Christmas Carol would be more spooky, but I actually liked the book much better than any films I've ever seen of it. It has a great overall message about avarice, but a lot of other minor themes that were profound, particularly, living in the moment, being positive in all circumstances, and prioritizing family over work."

" It is the story that everyone knows. The bad thing was it was written in the 1800s some of the words are very old and we don't use them anymore. Gets a little boring. "

" Watered down version of the Christmas Classic. The illustrations are great, but the story could use a little work. I think the true lesson is not as fully appreciated - although the first couple of ghosts are well written. "

" I can't believe it took me this long to read this book in its entirety. I grew up with the story, but I had only read parts of the whole tale. I loved it. I love the hope it gives in the belief that people can always change. A simply wonderful read. "

" It was fascinating to finally read this classic, considering the version of it I am most familiar with consists of Muppets. I was a little afraid to take this on, as all my previous attempts at reading Dickens ended abruptly. Thankfully this is relatively short, and it holds up well even now. "
