"This book took me a while to get into. I spent the first two weeks reading the first ten chapters or so. However, all of a sudden the book picked up for me and had me enthralled and I finished it within the day. I loved seeing Jaron evolve and grow over the course of this book and can't wait for the next book!"

" I am definitely getting more involved with this series and cannot wait for number 3! The characters are interesting, and the plot is fun. This particular book now adds pirates to a world of castles, princes, faraway kingdoms, and mistaken identity. The main character is also growing on me simply because he is such a troublemaker. :-) Middle school students should love the series... "

" I'm not sure what's up with these books but they always start and end SO WELL but lag in the middle. I hope the last book keeps the momentum going from start to finish. "

" Probably 3.5. I liked this better than book one--it was nice to hear some of Sage's internal struggles and insecurities (because of the big "secret" in book one, we didn't get to know much of his thoughts or self doubt). "

" Not as wonderful as the first book, but I still enjoyed the main character, and once it got going, the story was enjoyable. I would probably have loved it as a middle schooler. "

" I thought it wasn't as good as it could be. I mean the false prince was PHENOMENAL and thought that the runaway king was a little of a let down. But if you read the first one you should go on with the series. "

" The king is a child with ADHD on steroids. So much so that his father was so embarrassed by him he sent him away. This second book is great! As you can imagine having the main character be lovable with ADHD on steroids, it's a face-paced action packed novel. A very fun read "
