Peter Davison portrayed the fifth incarnation of the Doctor in Doctor Who from 1981 to 1984. More recently he starred in the television series The Last Detective, based on the Dangerous Davies novels by Leslie Thomas, and Distant Shores for ITV. In 2011 he took a major recurring role on Law & Order: UK. In addition to acting, he is also a songwriter and has provided the themes to Button Moon and My Hero.
